Perth – Margaret River – Augusta - Pemberton – Albany – Hyden - Perth

Day 1: Perth - Karridale or Augusta (PL,D)
Via
Mandurah and Peel Inlet we are travelling to Australind, which is known to have
the smallest church in Western Australia. From Dunsborough we travel to the
Cape Naturaliste National Park with Sugarloaf Rock,
Bunker Bay and Canal Rocks. In Margaret River we can sample some of the finest
wines of Western Australia. After travelling through the Boronup Karri Forest
we stop at Hamelin Bay to stretch your legs. From Skippy Road we'll have a beautiful
view over the lighthouse in Augusta where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet.
Overnight Karridale or Augusta
Day 2: Karridale/Augusta - Pemberton (B,PL,D)
If
passable, we are travelling along Ritter Road to the Yeagerup Dunes. We will
be staying at the heart of the forest in Pemberton. The magnificent Karri trees,
(third highest trees of the world) will accompany you all day. You can now climb
the 70m high Karri Tree which was used as a fire
lookout in the old days. A panoramic view of the area will reward you for climbing
up the many steps. Another stop at Mount Chudalup will reward us with yet another
incredible view of the surrounding plains, after which we will be heading to
d'Entrecastaux National Park with its magnificent cliffs. (reward means that
you do have to work first)
Overnight in Pemberton
Day3: Pemberton - Albany (B,PL,D)
Mandalay
Beach (named after the ship wreck, stranded just off the coast in 1911)
is very idyllic and sometimes parts of the Mandalay are visible. The next highlight
is the tree top walk.The boardwalk takes you 40m above the forest floor on a
680 m long walk through the canopy. The Valley of the Giants, a forest of gigantic
Tingle trees also offers us another boardwalk through and around the Tingle
trees (ancient empire) We will then visit William Bay National Park with the
Elephant Bay. Albany has a natural harbour and was known as a whaling station.
Today the town still kept its victorian charm and is one of the biggest holiday
centers of Western Australia. We visit the Torndirrup National Park with The
Gap, Natural Bridge, Stony Hill as well as the new power farm.
Overnight in Albany
Day 4: Albany - Hyden (B,PL,D)
We
will be visiting the Porongorup Ranges und Stirling Ranges National Parks, famous
for their Fauna and continue on to Hyden

Day 5: Hyden - Perth (B,PL)
Today
theWave Rock the famous rock wave is on our program.
Then we'll visit Mulka Cave with its Aboriginal paintings.
Back to Perth
